OpenSolaris OGB and constitutional election – get out and vote!

Folks, as of writing this we have had only 218 people place a vote in this election out of the 428 eligible core contributors. That’s a turnout of just over 50%. The current OGB has put a lot of work into rewriting the constitution (and unanimously recommend a yes vote) and to get it passed requires a majority vote (215). Voting closes on Monday, March 22, 2010 11:59:59 PM PDT, so while there is time yet, why leave it to the last-minute?

It would be a shame to see again another majority of those who voted supporting it but insufficient numbers to actually get it passed. The proposed constitution will not take you a long time to read and I applaud the brevity.

If you are a core contributor as of the cut-off date and eligible to vote and have not yet done so, please head over to the poll site and cast your vote.

There are statements available from those standing for the OpenSolaris Governing Board. You only need select the first seven that you would vote for.
