My car got stolen

There are some really sad people in this world.

I walked out the door this morning at about 6:30am to go for the bus and thought, “Were’s the car?”.

Talking to my wife and the neighbours we managed to determine that it was taken somewhere between 2:30pm and 10pm from Riveroak Dr in Mardi (between Tuggerah and Wyong) NSW.

I’m not so worried about the car, it was insured (but it’s a damn nuscience). What I’m angry about is all of the personal stuff that went with it. Small stuff like the kid’s school bags and hats, some stuff for our fridge, some stuff we’d just bought, some personal mail and other stuff that while not expensive is going to be difficult to replace.

For what it’s worth, the car was a bronze Mitsubishi Nimbus made around 1992. The car has NSW plates AC-22-CX. It would be really nice to at least get the contents back.

  2. A while back I drove a total clunker, nobody bothered stealing the car, but they did rip off everything that was in the car – stereo, every cd, even some items of clothing, etc. After that, I’ve just not kept many personal items in the car, knowing it’s just not safe to do so.
Insurance or no, it’s a pain in the butt, and of course there’s all the hassle of dealing with the insurance company too. Sorry to read you got ripped off.
