The ramblings of a former Australian SaND TSC* Principal Field Technologist

Wow, Bryan and Adam have been busy

Just noticed two rather large dtrace putbacks into build 67 today.

Bryan has just completed a whole lot of small fixes that include the gas/as problem with the fbt provider that was discussed on the bigadmin forum and some interaction issues with kmdb.

Adam has just put back the plockstat provider that he has been talking about.

Go guys!

 1. Well, Adam’s been busier than I have been — at least based on today’s wads. I’ve been spending most of my time up until last week polishing DTrace on amd64. My wad today was just a bug fixing wad that I’ve been meaning to get off my chest for a few weeks…

 2. Adams actually just put up (yet another) nice writeup on plockstat. Now this one I’m really looking forward to using ;).

 3. For the sake of completeness, there was another DTrace putback that day cleverly disguised as a new filesystem 😉 It fixed a bug with DTrace privileges by removing some insidious /dev/kmem hackery. Of course, it’s completely behind the scenes, and nowhere near as sexy as plockstat.
